VIVA – Here are the statistics of the F1 Hungarian GP at the Hungaroring Circuit, Budapest in the 13th race series of the Formula One calendar which consists of 22 races.

Lewis Hamilton holds a record eight wins in Hungary in 2007, 2009 and 2012 with McLaren and 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 with Mercedes and eight pole positions there. One additional win for him will be the record for the most wins in one particular grand prix.

Michael Schumacher holds a similar record with eight wins at the French Grand Prix and Hamilton also has eight in England.

Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and Ocon are just a few of the drivers on the current grid who have seen a podium finish at the Hungaroring.

The lowest starting position that resulted in a win at the Hungaroring was Jenson Button's P14 in 2006.

This weekend will be the 37th Hungarian GP,??16 of which have been won by riders starting from pole. The race debuted in 1986 as the first to be held on mainland Eastern Europe.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen took his first F1 pole in Hungary in 2019. Alonso and Esteban Ocon also had their first wins there in 2003 and 2021.

Red Bull won eight wins in 12 races this season and the rest went to Ferrari. Verstappen has seven, Charles Leclerc has three for Ferrari and Carlos Sainz has one win for Ferrari, then Sergio Perez has one win for Red Bull.

Hamilton holds a career record of 103 wins from 300 starts. The last time he tasted victory was racing in Saudi Arabia in December last year.

Ferrari has 242 race wins since 1950, McLaren 183 wins, Mercedes 124, Williams 115 and Red Bull 83.

Pole Position

Leclerc has seven poles this season, Verstappen three, Perez and Sainz one each. Hamilton holds a career record of 103 poles, most recently in Saudi Arabia last year.

Fastest lap

Six riders have picked up one bonus point for the fastest lap of the season. Leclerc got bonus points in the first three races, Verstappen in Imola, Miami and Austria, Perez in Spain and Azerbaijan, Lando Norris (McLaren) in Monaco, Sainz in Canada and France, and Hamilton in England.

Verstappen leads the standings with a 63-point advantage over Leclerc. Red Bull lead the constructors' standings with a distance of 82 points from Ferrari. Nicholas Latifi of the Williams team is the only driver yet to score a point this season.

Mercedes is the only team that always finishes with points in every race and Hamilton is the only driver to always finish the race so far.
